Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the financial success of our company by managing income analysis and reporting, contract and legislation compliance, financial optimization, cash flow management, bank account reconciliation, ledger processing, stakeholder communication and more.

Responsibilities:

As a Management Accountant at CapShire, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Income Analysis and Reporting: Continuously analyze and report on potential income sources, identifying threats and opportunities for the organization.
  • Contract and Legislation Compliance: Understand the financial implications of contract changes and legislative developments, ensuring the company remains in compliance.
  • Financial Optimization: Maximize income while minimizing expenditure to improve overall financial performance.
  • Financial Data Management: Process income and expenditure information using Xero accounting software.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized records using Office 365 OneDrive and Xero Cloud accounting.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and contribute to budgeting efforts.
  • Bank Account Management: Oversee and reconcile bank accounts, including petty cash management.
  • Ledger Processing: Handle purchase and sales ledger processing within Xero.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with the practice accountant and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Budget Management: Understand and manage Budget/Service Codes, including Cost Centers and Revenue Centers.
  • Payroll Reconciliation: Prepare reconciliation journals, control account re-allocations, and journal entries using Xero.
  • NHS Pensions Administration: Manage NHS Pensions administration and reconciliation statements.
  • Journal Entries: Handle accrual and prepayment journals and reconciliation.
  • Supplier Reconciliation: Generate aged payable reports weekly and reconcile supplier accounts.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly management board reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Budget vs. Actual analysis.
  • Debt Management: Monitor aged debtor reports, follow up on outstanding debts, and reconcile debt accounts.
  • Year-End Reconciliation: Prepare year-end reconciliations, including bank accounts, fixed assets, and VAT.
